129: Has Political Correctness Gone Bonkers?

from Dorothy and the Dealer Podcast · host Dorothy and the Dealer Podcast

Do YOU think political correctness has gone too far? An Australian, an Irishman, and an American walk into a bar…  Nowadays, this could be either the start of a hilarious joke, or the potential for a comedian to get cancelled.  That’s right, it’s time to answer whether political correctness, and trying not to offend EVERYONE, has gone too far? And that’s exactly what’s on the card for Mitch and Mills in this episode of Dorothy and the Dealer. To do so, they break it down to a few simple factors, including: What is comedy? Is it simply taking the piss? Why we won’t ever find things 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 funny unless we are clear with ourselves. That there is power in not shrinking to make other people comfortable. Why cancel culture can lead to us erasing our past missteps. Which is just as bad. Why who you are is more important than how others see you. Remember, we must always be RESPECTFUL of other people. But we don’t have to curtail to them either.
