12th Light Dragoons

Part 2 of Vandeleur's Cavalry Brigade at Waterloo.The 12th Light Dragoons were an experienced regiment of Peninsula veterans, with some men having served as far back as Egypt in 1801. At Waterloo they suffered the highest casualties of all the British light cavalry regiments (excluding the King's German Legion) in their attempt to support the heavy cavalry charges of the Household and Union Brigades.
