Today's Shri Tanya is the beginning of Semen Hei of Yerse HaKadosh. The passage in Shemul says, V'yas Tavit Hashem. The Zohar explains this to me that we make a name for Hashem through the beginning of Tzedakah. As the passage continues, V'hi David Aishav Mishvat Tzedakah.

For us to understand what it means to make a name for Hashem, we must first examine the difference between this world and Gan Eden. The passage in Yeshaya says, B'ka Hashem Tzurei Lamin. The Gemara explains this to me that Hashem created this world with the letter Hei, and the world to come with the letter Yud. What does that mean?

The Rebbe explains that the divine revelation and pleasure that the Neshama experiences in Gan Eden is a revelation of the divine understanding, B'na. The Neshama and Gan Eden are also exposed to the source of that understanding, the level of Chachma, divine wisdom. While being beyond comprehension, the divine wisdom shines to a small degree, suggested in the size of the letter Yud, for the Neshama and Gan Eden to have somewhat of an understanding in the divine wisdom. This level of divine wisdom is referred to in the Zohar as Abba Yassid Barta, which literally means the father who is the foundation of the daughter.

This alludes to the fact that this level of Chachma is the foundation for all divine speech. The pronunciation of letters and formation of words comes from a deeper place within the person than the intellect and information that he is conveying through those sounds. That is why an infant may understand something and still not be able to speak it, since speech is from a more hidden wisdom that has not yet been developed in the infant.
