Colleen Snyder, M.A., BC-DMT, NCC, Founding Director of Bethesda Conservatory of Dance, is not only a trailblazer in dance education but also a dedicated community advocate. Colleen is an active member of the Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce. Her commitment to the community is evident through her efforts in organizing fundraisers for various community organizations, including the Manna Food Center, the Children's Inn at the National Institute of Health, and the National Dance Foundation.  Under her leadership, the Bethesda Conservatory of Dance has received numerous accolades and awards, including the prestigious titles of "Best of Bethesda" and "Washington Parent's Best for Families." These accolades are a testament to her commitment to excellence and dedication to leading the youth.  Colleen's dancers, under her guidance, have had the privilege of performing at high-profile events and parades, such as the Cherry Blossom Parade, the Mardi Gras Festival at Universal Orlando, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Winter Wonderland in Downtown Bethesda, and many more. These performances have showcased the incredible talent and tremendous bond between her dancers that she cultivated at the Bethesda Conservatory of Dance. She has shared her expertise and experiences as a speaker for organizations such as the International Dance Entrepreneurs Association and Dance Friendz, inspiring others in the field of dance education and entrepreneurship. Her passion for dance, combined with her commitment to community and education, sets her apart as a remarkable leader in the world of dance and beyond. Colleen lives in Bethesda with her husband of 18 years, Robert Buber, and their three children.
