13 - Friday the 13th (1980) Review

The last week of the Summer Bash Bash is upon us and as if there was any doubt, Two Guys, One Necronomicon are reviewing the 1980 slasher classic Friday the 13th. An unknown assailant starts killing off camp counselors who are opening Camp Crystal lake for the summer. Little to their knowledge, this campsite is the fabled location of a child drowning and double murder.Is Friday the 13th worth the hype? Is it the ultimate slasher movie? Does it stand the stretch of time? Where does it stand among the rest of the horror genre "classics?" How well does it setup the rest of the series?
