Katrine Hildyard, Minister for Human Services in South Australia, spoke about the state budget; homelessness and Street Connect; and "answered" Belle's question about funding independent advocacy. Joe Alfonso, Growth Manager for We Walk, invited all to check out their orientation & mobility cane, apps, at Tech Fest – 17th June at U City, 43 Franklin Street Adelaide Chelsea Marchetti, putting "fiz" in to physiotherapy from the Flipper academy, shared information on the role of a physiotherapist for chest + respiratory challenges. Associate Professor Sina Vatandoust, Director at Southern Oncology Clinical Research Unit and a Medical Oncologist at Southern Oncology SA, spoke about Early-onset gastro-intestinal cancer rates surging among young Australians and called for urgent action. Emma Read, Residential Funding and Accommodation Managerat Resthaven, had news on accessing services; and answers often asked questions when seeking aged care services. Lisa-Maree Walker, paid a moving tributey to the Late Elise Londsdale, advocate; technologist and educator. Elise sadly passed away last week. Lara Chambers, Regional Manager for Fortem Australia, thanked First Responders - highlighted their lasting mental health toll.
