13 - Sean Connery vs He-Man
from Pick a Flick!
WEEEEEE HAAAAAVE THE POWEEEEEEERRRRRR!!!Ahem. Excuse me for that, but for the latest episode of PICK A FLICK! hosted by Tony Black, it seemed appropriate.Joined this time by on-loan podcasters Dave Bond (of Do You Expect Us to Talk?) and in his first appearance on the show, Owen Hughes (of Failed Critics), they discuss variously Sean Connery, He-Man, toys and zombies.Nominated by Lee Chrimes, MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE divides opinion - is it a load of rubbish or a fun slice of 80's popcorn kitsch?ZARDOZ, on the other hand, nominated by What the Craggus Saw, is agreed by all to be an extremely strange beast, but is John Boorman's 1974 oddity actually any good?Along the way, the trio talk childhood toys that became movies, before Owen attempts to take on the leaderboard in QUESTION TIME as he's tested on his chosen film, DAY OF THE DEAD.Join us, By the Power of Grayskull!
