Ryan is a graduate of Temple University and got his start in the music business in Philadelphia at Centerstaging in 2001, where he became well versed in all aspects of Backline. A few short years later he accepted his first touring gig as keyboard/computer tech on Beckʼs Guero tour. Since then, he has been touring full-time for such artists as Jack White, Sigur Ros, Arcade Fire, MGMT, Death Cab For Cutie, Macklemore and more. In 2014, he began collaborating with his partner on creating a new way to look at the world of music touring, and thistourlife.com was born. Ryan curates and contributes research-supported articles focused on the music touring lifestyle. When his schedule permits, he also gives talks at industry related conferences on the subject of health & wellness in touring.
