Born and raised in South Africa. Daniel’s interest in the army came as a small kid where he had the army stay on their farm due to cross border farm attacks.  He got into kickboxing in primary school due to bullying and has been hooked on martial arts since. Daniel went to London after Uni and joined the British Army in 2007 as an Artillery Observer. Referred to as FST(Fire Support Teams) in UK terms or FiSTers in US terms.  Spent 8 years in the army and did 2 deployments to Afghan, 2009 and 2012.
