Shane Veincent is a member of a legendary hip-hop band from the Big Island of Hawai'i. This tattoo artist is the co-founder of the first Hawaiian rap group called Sudden Rush. From 1994 to 2018 they released four albums evolving from emulating the popular gangsta rap of the 1990s to perpetuating the importance of Hawaiian culture and commenting on local political issues.They have collaborated with some of the biggest names in Hawai’i such as Fiji, John Cruz, Keli’i Reichel, Willie K, Amy Hanaiali’i Gilliam, Jon Osorio, and many more. Kwai-Chang Publico is a lifelong entrepreneur from the Big siland of Hawai’i. He is the manager of Sudden Rush and the founder of So Juicy Hawai'i. He is also the first ever World Juicing Champion. In this episode we talk about growing up together on the Big Island, forming Sudden Rush, the loss of their bandmate Ke'ala, life stories, how Kwai-Chang became the first ever world juicing champ, Hawaiian sovereignty, their futures and so much more.
