Over de bezoekers van Villa Voortman in Gent. “Sinds 2010 stelt de Villa elke weekdag en zaterdag haar deuren open voor mensen met dubbeldiagnose: een gecombineerde problematiek van middelenmisbruik en psychische moeilijkheden, veelal psychose”, zo is te lezen op de bijbehorende website. De Villa vormt op die manier een ontmoetingshuis voor een specifieke, maar groeiende groep mensen die er op dagelijkse, vrijwillige basis creatieve therapie volgen. Witte ziekenhuisschorten, labels, kalmerende medicatie en honderden regels maken plaats voor schrijfateliers, filosofiesessies, dramatherapie en muziekles. Max-Lena Vanden Eynde liep er ook een tijdje rond en sprak met de (reguliere) bezoekers van Villa Voortman, onder wie Pete, Andy en stagiaire Elisabeth.
