(23:02) Max Scherzer signs with the Mets, a 3-year, $130 million contract per reports, and John determines whether or not this makes the Mets the team to beat in the National League following this move. (29:52) Other players are looking to sign with teams before an impending lockout that'll freeze all transactions, with the Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays, and Miami Marlins amongst the most active teams over the weekend. (35:00) John goes through some of the things he saw over the weekend in the NFL, including the Green Bay Packers taking down the L.A. Rams in a statement in the NFC, while the Baltimore Ravens won a game where Lamar Jackson threw for four interceptions.
