#133 Solo Episode #3 - First Principles

from What Got You There with Sean DeLaney

First Principles otherwise known as "reasoning from first principles" is the idea of breaking down complicated problems into basic elements and then reassemble them from the ground up. This strategy helps you cut through confusion and have a true understanding and improve your decision making process. People such as Aristotle and Elon Musk use First Principles. Aristotle defined them as "the first basis from which a thing is known". By using first principles to reason we remove assumptions and leave only the essentials. By only having the essentials it allows us to understand how relying on analogy can send us down the wrong path. *Questions for the solo podcast email [email protected]* Subscribe to the Newsletter- https://bit.ly/2RH3eaD   http://whatgotyouthere.com/ NEW SPONSOR TEN THOUSAND- www.tenthousand.cc/wgyt 20% off with discount code "WGYT"  GlobeKick 10% off with discount code "WGYT" https://globekick.com/ MCTco Collagen Protein Bars www.mctco.com  https://twitter.com/SeanDeLaney23 https://www.instagram.com/whatgotyoutherepodcast/ https://www.facebook.com/whatgotyouthere/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/sean-delaney-00909190/   Intro/Outro music by Justin Great- http://justingreat.com/ Audio Engineer- Brian Lapres
