Me consta que hay corredores que se lesionan menos entrenando para/ compitiendo en ultras de montaña que en corta y media distancia por montaña. Dados los volúmenes que supone dicho entrenamiento y dicha competición, lo esperable sería lo contrario. Entonces, si esta observación no es algo aislado sino sistemático, la pregunta es ¿cómo es posible que hacer ultradistancia sea menos lesivo que hacer maratones? Una posibilidad es que esas carreras se hagan y se entrenen “caminando rápido” más que corriendo. Hay dos evidencias que apuntan en esta dirección.
