#135 - ‘Inner child/Outer Adult’ (Childlike or Childish?)

from The Twilight Conversations · host Jimmy Judge

Childlike or Childish? Are we fully in our adult selves or merely fucked up kids in grown up bodies? I think most reasonable human beings, strive to be responsible adults & keep our inner little ones in check with kindness, love, compassion & a firm, steady hand. We live in a confusing post truth society that rewards childish, narcissistic behaviour, where selfishness, greed & tantrums are cheered on. Moody (fake) vulnerable victims suck up all the oxygen & garner all the attention as we collude with & coddle these grown up children...what you think?Podcast Editor -Ger KellettCLICK HERE FOR THE PLAYLIST FOR THIS EPISODE.......References -------------------------‘The obvious child’ Paul Simon from Rhythm of the saints (1990)‘Instant Karma’ (we all shine in)John Lennon & the plastic Ono band from Shaved fish (1970)‘Giving it all away’ Leo Sayer from Just a boy (1974)‘First we take Manhattan’ (Leonard Cohen) performed by Jennifer Warnes from Famous blue raincoat (1987)‘For Everyman’ Jackson Browne from For Everyman (1973)‘Fool yourself’ Little Feat from Dixie Chicken (1973)‘Grown man’ Loudon Wainright 3rd from Grown man (1995)‘Eyes of a child’ Moody blues from This is the Moody blues (1974)‘Wise up’ Aimee Man.
