135 - The Sleeping Jesus

1 Peter 5:7 -casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. The word “care” means - anxiety, care that brings disruption to the personality and the mind.  David Guzik wrote: "At their best moments the religions of ancient Greek culture could imagine a God who was good. Yet they never came to the place where they believed in a God who cared. The God of the Bible - the God who is really there - is a God who cares for you." Care in the verse above means two very different things and they are two different words in the Greek.
