Statements from U.S. and other Western officials, as well as pervasive accounts in the news media, have created a stunningly misleading image of Ukraine. Yes, Putin is wrong to attack Ukraine, but why are world leaders, like Joe Biden, attempting to paint Ukraine as a beacon of liberty and democracy when that is hardly the case? Yes, I am for the people of Ukraine. They do not deserve to be attacked by Russia yet, at the same time, they deserve a much better domestic government.
