As Arnold Glasow stated so well, "A good leader takes a little more than his share of the blame, a little less than his share of the credit." Leaders who take more than their share of the blame and less than their share of the credit will easily build trust and earn respect.  Leaders who take more than their share of the credit and less than their share of the blame will quickly create distrust trust and lose respect.
