Sinds Staatsbosbeheer het publiek de gelegenheid heeft geboden om zogenaamde herinneringsbankjes te laten plaatsen, zijn er op heel veel plaatsen in natuurgebieden banken neergezet met een plaatje erop waarop een overleden dierbare herdacht wordt. Mathijs Deen, die op de Waddeneilanden al deze bankjes aantreft probeert in deze aflevering van Docs de neiging om bankjes voor de doden neer te zetten te begrijpen.
