From Super Storm Sandy to recent refugee crises to the COVID-19 Pandemic, David has provided millions of meals to victims of these and other disasters all over the world. During COVID, he and Operation BBQ Relief distributed 4 million meals in conjunction with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania over a 9 week period, while also allowing restaurant owners and workers to continue working after their establishments were shut down.In this episode, David shares experiences of how providing a warm, high-quality meal to victims and emergency workers helps everyone feel that sense of comfort in a time of crisis they so desperately seek.
