Slimetime returned to the Gridiron as CBS Sports and Nickelodeon teamed up to bring the multi-Emmy Award-winning "Nickmas" alternate presentation to a Christmas Day game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Nickmas Game has become one of the marquee alternate broadcasts. This year's show featured Christmas-themed augmented reality (AR) graphics, a guest appearance by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the announce booth, Santa Claus running routes as a receiver, a giant Yetti tossing snowballs all over the stadium, a candy cane telestrator, and – of course – Slime Canons erupting all over the end zone.
