137 | Places to Stay | La Maison Midtown Ft. Mrs. Genora Boykins, Co-Owner

from Christ over Culture · host Michelle Lenae

Meet Mrs. Genora Boykins, Co-Owner of La Maison Midtown Houston with her best friend, Co-Owner, Sharon Owens! In 1999, Mrs. Boykins and Mrs. Owens purchased land in Midtown Houston with dreams of building their very own bed & breakfast. In 2009, they made that dream a reality - breaking ground and opening the doors of La Maison Midtown, an Urban Bed & Breakfast, to guests in 2010. Now, nearly 15 years later, Co-founder Genora Boykins talks about those early days of building their bed & breakfast from scratch and how faith, ingenuity, and hard work were instrumental to their journey. Special thanks to Morgan Wade for caputuring video and photo content for this podcast! Foundational Scripture: Philippians 1:6 [AMP] 'I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]."
