137: The Books

If there is one music group that we had to choose to represent what we are trying to do here at No Small Thing it would be The Books. The Books are wonderfully quirky and iconoclastic musical duo based in New York. They started making music together in 1999 and their music usually includes obscure samples of sounds and speech combined with a variety of musical styles. Not only do we thoroughly their music, we are also inspired by their ability to constantly create songs that challenge our traditional expectations of what a song is supposed to be. We hope this episode either helps you enjoy The Books more or introduces you to this awesome band!
