I have been suspended without pay since 4/20/21 after advocating for the students against masks. I came to the realization that just voicing my concerns wasn’t going to make a difference so I decided to let my district know that I was not going to be compliant with mask wearing for myself anymore. I wanted to make a statement to get their attention that masking kids for 6-7 hours a day is wrong. So far parents have rallied, I have received so much support and a large protest is in the works for the next BOE meeting on May 10th. Many people are ready to speak up and fight against these ineffective and harmful masks. We are suppose to protect these kids and they need a voice. I will continue to speak out about the harmfulness of these masks, I want to make a difference for these kids who need a voice. “ Thank you!
