Welcome to Toby's Watch Radio, welcome to a Super Turbo edition of the podcast. We've got the whole swan here to say the whole team, the whole staff, the gang, the gang, we're all together again. Oh, you're famous, not again. Yeah, because I'm going to bring a few topics to the table, we're just going to...
Turbo chat. Turbo chat, yeah, exactly, Turbo talk mate, that's it. Yeah, a little catch up, that's all it is, it's just a little catch up. We'll start with, let's just start straight up with John Shanahan's Double Up DC part.
It's been a few weeks since it actually was released on Thrasher, but it needs to mention, it was a solid part. I'll jump to you, we'll straight away with that. You must have been impressed with Mr Shanahan on that. Yeah, great part, great tricks.
It's been really emerging again in the DC scene, but kind of just more solely on his name, really doing really well. Yeah, fucking sick part. Big fucking Ollie's, long grinds, balanced manuals, everything we like to see. And a couple of street grabs here and they, you know, kind of do it.
It does feel like a weird twink thing, doesn't it? Yeah, it's not like a tuckney, it's like a twink to melanos. Yeah, I think he throws up a little cheeky tuck-tuck melon, I'd say. But it's just, yeah, it's decent.
I mean, it is one of those parts that probably does deserve a proper breakdown, but it's just the way it falls when it comes out, if we're not ready for it, we're not ready for it. But we thought we'd give it a decent mention because it was just really good filming. It's got the audio from miscue who does all the DC tunes. Yeah, all the sabotage stuff.
So it still has that vibe, Brian Pambienco edited it. So you know it's going to have that same vibe as the old DC video from back in the day. It's just nice seeing that video. Again, we were talking about the DC video being 20 years old.
They're still putting stuff out that would fit in, you know, still getting the right sort of cutaways, right? So a little bit of street footage out there, pissing around with manual covers, you know, spotter street stuff. It fits the build, fits with the whole, the old-school DC gimmick. So it was awesome, really good part.
Great, great, uh, spark selections, really, really fun sparks that just make you want to go and go and have a look and go check them out. Really cool. Yeah. And there's some good night clips in it as well, really good.
Yes. Yes. It's a really good part. I feel that John Shanahan, even if he were to put out like three really good parts, I don't think he's ever going to be in contention for the year.
I think he's not good, but I just don't think he's just not in that kind of place or post-the-boy place where someone's going to pick him to be like a top tier player. He's always going to be kind of like Gilbert Crockett or whatever. They're going to just be placed there, really high standard, which is good. And I think he is top tier in his trick selection, but I don't think he's always, he's never, I just don't think he's going to get it.
Even if he works about four parts or five parts or whatever. He's one of those, it's like your favorite skater, favorite skater. Yeah. But he's got such an appreciation, but he's just outside the limelight.
Yeah. It's almost that like, with more recent, probably the past five years or decade of skater the years, you almost need to have that wow factor for people who don't skate or they really know into it. They don't necessarily need to see a Nalian-Woodhill nose manual or even just like a back-knows-going-shove flip-back tier, whatever. There isn't that much of a wow factor for them.
They need to see a ridiculous kickflip or hardflip or even just a crazy kink 50-50. I think some people, I think they need to see that to think, wow, this guy's bigger than life. If you don't know, you don't see the technical shit that much. You already see huge technical skaters winn't skate anymore.
No. Like we were talking about before, we came on about this ender, the backside blunt slide on that court pipe and then fakey trader flat. That's in no one's doing that. No one's got that control from a blunt slide.
As heavy as you are on a blunt slide, you're going to flick it out and be that dexterous out of it. So that was a super technical trick, but it won't get there. No, right here again. In those chunky shoes as well.
Yeah. It was a good part. It's definitely you can watch that a few times and get yourself up for a sec. Yeah, definitely I thought it was a sick part.
We'll move over to a little bit of, because we've been talking about recently, you mean Matt about Marvel's secret invasion. I don't know if your boys have been keeping up with this. No, but I'm here. That's what Samuel Jackson is in it.
He's the whole scroll storyline, the secret invasion of the scroll has been intertwined with all the CIA, you know, that sort of shit, MI6. It's a nice little story, don't it? It's quite a tight little thing. Yeah, I mean it's condensed down for what the comics is because it's always going to happen like that.
But it is like, again, it's like, what's the second cast? My winner soldier, in a sense, is a pretty good sort of, it's picking up now. It's quite a good little spice or, yeah, sort of who's, who's on what side who's doing this and who's doing that. And it's been a couple of those twists in the recent episodes as well.
Yeah. I mean, I don't know if we're going to, I mean, not so fucking spoil you. We can spoil it, we can not spoil it. I mean, for me, we're talking about, like, just, it is a whole.
I like the idea of it, because I like the theory of coming in at a good angle. It's a shame that it had to be TV, but apparently it does. I mean, I would have put one single piece of media that would have just been solid. But it's moving, it's growing.
It is growing. There's bits of it, they're a little bit kind of like, you're not really hitting the mark and there's other bits that they're really hitting the mark. You know, you get Nick Fury, Samuel Jackson in the right room with the right person. Yeah, you know, there's some good old back and forths in there, which it is enjoyable.
Overall, it is enjoyable. Yeah. I just, you should. I like the Super Scrolls as well, like I like Super Scrolls.
He's good. Well, I wouldn't like it. Oh, yeah. In fact, now they're obviously bringing them in to their power.
I mean, they've gone because obviously, yeah, Super Scrolls, you just had the fantastic four powers and he became a big player within the scrolls. And then you had to see the invasion, they all had everyone's talking about it. So they sort of jumped to that really. So they think Super Scrolls had enough of a build-up for themselves.
You know what I mean? They never had the fantastic four, so they never were going to do that really. So it just jumps straight to Scrolls, you know, super-hour-self. Yeah, which I think would have helped it if they did what you said there.
It's kind of a build-up to it. It's done that. It would have been a great effort. Now, whatever.
It got it all. Yeah. Do I want to persevere with this? If I jumped out now, would I miss anything?
But it is worth going, because it does start to get a bit like, a moment, you're eating. And you're opening scene, you will think you're just watching an episode of Sherlock. Because it's filmed just like Sherlock, obviously, got mine free, and they're knocking about on some cobbled streets. Yes, it's not white-backs.
I will say, though, in the comics, I think the first couple of pages were when they were basically doing an autopsy of Elektra, who was a scroll the whole time that we didn't know. It's kind of just, it's like, oh fuck. So when did a scroll take over? You've always been, you don't know these things.
But that's kind of how they jumped you in. It's like, anyone can be. Does this random, because it wasn't really like her, it was more, it was more Avengers, I suppose, the secret invasion? It probably wasn't.
It was probably, it was a bit of a... It was, um, Spidey Woman was a Weber Enke, where it was the Princess. Yes. She was, like, for ages, it was like, for ages, it was like doing shit, weren't she?
Yeah. And like, what has she been a twat for? Yeah. Then it turns out she'd been fucking scroll for however long she had been.
Exactly. And having that random character worked. It was like, because it's saying, anyway, it's like, just that random, it's like, just that random, it's over there, anyway, and it kind of just jumps you in. It would have been nice if they'd done that similar, because that's such a simple concept rather than being threatened with some of all your...
You've done that road, you know, like, how long has Roadly been a fucking scroll for? Yeah. Like, was he been a scroll for? It's all over there.
I knew that. I did know that. I might get some of that, but anyway, Roadly's a scroll. But again, you don't know how long he's been a scroll for.
Is he been a scroll the whole time? Or was he been a scroll recently? So that's the thing, it depends on what he's doing. I don't know if he's done anything to change the outcome of any of the past films, I guess.
It's difficult to retro, like, fit anything. I mean, I guess it would really matter. But that one point would just have to be like, integrate himself and now he's like mixing ship because he's not going to point right into the pit and he's not going to end anything. Just changing the outcome of any of the past films, I guess, it's difficult to retro, like, fit anything.
I mean, I guess it would wrap. But at one point would you have to be like, integrating himself and now he has, like, mixed and ship up because he's got a point where he needs me because he's done all that shit. But because he's done all that shit being a scroll, don't you actually know what I mean? Yeah, he couldn't declare himself quite how I think, I was messing with him.
I was messing with him, my Mum was knocking about it. You had that point, you'd just let it lie. I've been shot in the back and lost his own legs, so I take that revenge's mind to sort myself out there. Yeah, I let it happen.
I let it happen. I let it happen. I let it be really bad for roadies, but it's wrong for me to come in. I mean, actual script, you could tell who actual roadie is and shit, he can't actually...
Or are we saying that the scroll roadies, they wanted to put your legs in, that's... You know, it took over before it happened. No, yeah. Well, what happens to the original...
Like... When they're in the TV series, they're just like, held up like a fucking machine, like it's always a machine, they're just like strapped to some sort of machine so they can read their mind and steal their power than that sort of shit. So I have a human, they're like, it'd just be in the room somewhere. Oh, she's novel, that's what I'm saying, aren't you?
Yeah, but Nick Fury's wife in it, she kind of took someone else's avatar, if you... There was a dying lady in a hospital when she was looking after her, and then she kind of took a legacy on. You know, she just took it on so she still, you know, had the same... She would use her family as a promise between the two, you know, I'll look after your parents.
I'll be throwing short parents, yeah. All that sort of stuff. So there's a couple of different angles that you can kind of... You can just kill someone and then you check over them, but if you needed them for a reason, you could drag onto them if that needs to be.
Yeah, just stick them in your wardrobe and go back to them. If you just need information, you could get a... No, no. You might have killed Rody just to come over, because that's a possibility.
Yeah. Or you could just be stuck in a box somewhere, that sort of shit. Depends if Don Cidle don't want to come back up and then they say, do you want to come back and you're like, he's dead anyway. He's dead anyway.
He's dead, and if not he's stuck in a box. I was saying that he's got the armors, any? He's like the main star of the armors. Nice.
So he's obviously... Maybe there's two, maybe there's two cheaters. What's wrong cheater than normal cheater? Maybe.
In the armors. Maybe there's four armors. Cheater was. Cheater was.
Well, anyway, it's worth a mention. It's nice and little watch. I know, Marv. Where are you guys watching this?
This is on Disney Plus. Classic Disney Plus. Oh, nice. I've got everything to jump out.
Yeah, it's one of them. Marv has been kind of hitting everything out of park as of recently, but I think it's trying. You know, it's trying and this, I think this is a style. It's got a different move.
It's gone down like the spice, or it's trying to be that more sort of spice, really expediting thing. I used to just when we churn out everything else. And it does have a quite well-known cast as well. Olivia Coleman, who's been in obviously she's in the peak show and all sorts of stuff back in the day, but Oscar winner.
You know, she's done everything. And she's brilliant. She's really good. What's the one from Game of Thrones?
Oh, Amelia. I'm not saying she's the greatest actress of all time, but it's a face. It's a face. It works.
It's not a bad little cast. Don G will be in there with Samuel Jackson. He's a car. Yeah, it's pretty decent.
See it's a good cast. Amoree Hill, guys. He's a best tree. He's straight away.
I was shocked at that she's dead. Yeah. But yeah, just work for Olivia. I'm not just working for her, but Olivia Coleman.
Have you ever seen that in the program Flowers? No. Ask you, ask it. It's got Olivia Coleman in it, and it's got old Guy Fonnemati, who's not in all fieldings.
How would it? How would it mean? Nice. He's into their marriage.
He's like a manic depressive when he's trying to kill himself. But he doesn't. And some shenanigans happen. Basically, we're for what?
It's pretty funny, but fucking pretty depressed at the same time. Yeah, it's like an emotional rollercoaster. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He'll be up and down with it.
Yeah. But again, because they said fucking good fucking actors. So you can play any part in it. You just like this sort of mum.
You sort of, no, he's sort of just not a shit going on trying to do with everything mum. But again, she just claps and it has to be. But yes, cool flowers. Watch it.
I think it's all fucking Netflix. Nice. There you go. If you don't want to watch Seek Me Vay, watch Flowers.
Yeah, exactly. Yeah, exactly. So I'm going to be a friend of all. Yeah, treat yourself mate.
Treat yourself mate. Before we move on from the Marvel stuff, I'm just going to just update the listeners on my blade watching. So I think on the last episode, yeah, I just watched Blade 2. I have watched Blade 3 now again.
You're going to do it. Oh. You're going to do it. God.
That fight between Reynolds and Triple H, like they almost filmed it like wrestling like Triple H, just heads like whipping back. Like no one else is doing this. Every other scene is like punching there's a cart or something. Without them letting it like play out wrestling and it's like this doesn't work.
Everything else is certain way. Yeah. I mean, which isn't great anyway. It's a bit fucking shiny.
It's just everything is shiny. You're going to have that money didn't have that apple money. They went away. They did.
They did. It's not as, you know, it's no in near as good as it is. It's because it's too late. It's when Reynolds was Pete, like, just say something funny.
Every time he speak Reynolds just say something funny. Oh, Reynolds did not mean any hat. I know. That's what kid was born.
Like, Deadpool is that character. I feel he's not as bad in there. Even though Deadpool could probably take him. He's not as bad as in Deadpool.
He's like in like blade and like his first sort of films. Come on, Reynolds. Just say something funny. I don't know if I can say anything about that.
I mean, just do something, Reynolds. Yeah. I'm talking of Deadpool. Are you seeing those roles?
Yes. It looks pretty fucking legit for me. It's legit. It is my angle on this.
I'm being a Wolverine lover that I am. I like the fact he's in yellow. I do like it. Would I prefer the tan?
Maybe bass, X, men's. I'm allowing the yellows to come in. But would I prefer a different suit than that one? Yes.
That one, you know, the suit is where it is. It's more of the newer, you know, post, you know, what I'm saying? 2010 Wolverine suit. I thought the one in that was closer to his original yellow suit.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait back before he went orange in tanner before Jim Lee. Because the Jim Lee one was more blue, blue, blue, blue light. And then he went a bit, because he didn't have to be on shoulder past it. No, but the Jim Lee had black there, which I liked.
Oh, yeah. I mean, this was blue. And it just reminds me of ones that were kind of more like 2006 onwards. That sort of 2010, which we've been wearing, where he's in a few different crews when he's in the Avengers.
It's a cleaner suit. It's not bad to. I'll take the suit. I'm not slagging the suit off.
But I just, it would be nice to have the, I mean, I don't know how it would look, but if you were to make the X4 suit, you know, or the, or the, or the, or the Jim Lee, the blackness there with the shoulder pads. It might have been too unique, you know what I mean? It's kind of like a Batman, isn't it? It is.
Where it's kind of like, it's purposeful. Like, it's not a costume. It is a show. Which, yeah, which is good.
I just, hopefully, when they shoot it, it's not too shiny. You know, there's an angle. We're seeing like an iPhone camera from like... It's like a fucking rock.
No, but it might be great. I think they got to make it, it's that thing, you got to balance it between like, you know, many of the characters are making it look really, it can't be that like, we shit, can it? So we can't be like the skin type. No, you don't have blue pants.
It's fucking all blue suits. So it has got to be like that sort of Batman aesthetic or tactile. It's tactile. Like, you can wear that as a fight in this.
It's not going to look ridiculous. So, we're also making it look like the classic wall suit. It's a fitting fucking line. And is he going to pull the cowl out?
Is he going to have a cowl? Yeah, exactly. He doesn't have a cowl. He'll be fucking big or little.
What's the face of the game? He's got to be big. Yeah, he's got to be big. Yeah, I'm excited.
I'm excited about that. It's a shame that obviously the film has been halted. So we're waiting for that. Because that's a bug.
That's tough as well, didn't it? That's a schedule. That's not going to be fucking done. Now is it?
No. No. No. No.
Yeah, because with the writers strike, because they would add live lives, you can do that. No. No, this is a bit of a problem for it. Because now, if it takes too long, that could be in a cam before you fucking get done.
They'll just say, well, we know what. Fuck it. It's like they've done that with the back hill. Oh, yeah.
They just use as a tach fucking lost, didn't they? Don't ever release it. Then you can fucking pull the tach back and go on. That thing is done.
No. And yeah, we're going to see that. And anyone that's fully active, completely finished film, and they're like, well, if we release it, it's going to cost us this much money. And we're just kind of going to get, we can call back this much money so it's not a common fucking button.
No one's ever seen that film ever. So some fucking pull bastards, they'll be waxing their shit. Yeah, you know, a camera operator or a director as your first gig, and you'll start to see your name scroll down at the end. Yeah, yeah, see that shit, mate.
That's gone. You wouldn't even put it in CV, would you? No, we'd be fine. But now I want this shit last, but maybe there's some term I'm bombing it can go.
It's been like fucking X amount of years now, you can release a DVD. And you don't even get penalised to it, as long as you just, or if you stream it, so you're not. You still have to have to paint a tach, don't you? Yeah, if I depended on it, if there's some way you fucking, you don't get it.
If it was intended to be distributed, and then wasn't, is that... I wonder if they could sell it, or sell it or something. Yeah, I think they would be out of licence that off. Because someone would be out of licence that off.
They're getting back out. Well, I see, she's coming to the mouth now. She's in everything. Say that, hey, talk about fucking Disney only, you see that movie versus credit coming to this time.
No. You've got movie versus credit. You look good. That's cool.
I don't know. I've literally just seen the cover of it and it's called the movie versus credit. It's a notice. It's credit card that was in there.
It's just a little bit spread out, but how much? Yeah. Jeff, you can find a cover. But just say this, come off the back of fucking a mouse only.
Don't you? It's the same as the aliens, isn't it? Because they fucking write your aliens, aren't they? I saw fox, isn't it?
It's all the same. It's all green in space fighting the aliens with the predators, with them. Team's up with the predators. I mean, obviously the credit movie got become makes it at the end of it.
And then we get fucking AV fucking W, a fucking versus P, actually it. AV, W, V, P, and all that shit. Nice. I'm going to have a little look into this.
AVX, V, V, W, V, everyone fucker. Yeah, looks, yeah, looks. Credit versus Wolverine. I've only got coffee in soy, so I've all been.
Yeah, number one. I've got a shiny full leaf edition for me. Don't know that. Suck it in, mate.
Let's have a little note. No image available yet. It's a bit of fun. Shit.
They are people. Go on some random independent comic book shop. They'll have that picture. Yeah, really funny.
The ones on the page will have that picture. Yeah, it's a bit of a fantasy by all of us as well because they just put a picture of it and they'll be like, I've got to cover something to change. Give me nothing like what you gave. No.
What's your game? Fuck is that picture? Yeah. And that's important.
Yeah, you're buying it because of the cover. Yeah, it's all about the cover is one of the most important parts of the comic can. You've got to be open a comic can. It's good inside, but you close that.
That's why they use that picture. Why did that artist get that cover? Does he get my returner to do it? I was like, when he had a cover, we had actually no relevance to what's inside as well.
So you have a cover of Nightcrawler. Like everybody's dead body and you're like, oh, this is the issue where someone dies. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. So we talk about some Warhammer, or should we talk about some guns? Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Who's got ready to go?
I can go. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
We're talking about some Warhammer, then we'll talk about some guns. Yeah. Yeah. So with Warhammer in 40k, there's just been a new edition of the game and they've rebuilt it from the ground up.
So every army has new rules, new stats, new everything. All the rules are for the download, which is really good. And they've introduced a lot of the call of universal rules. So if one army has this special rule, it's called like Philno Payne.
Every army that does the same ability is called Philno Payne. So they can use the same language. It's all really good. But fucking hell.
Some of the balancing of these armies is all over the place. So who's who's double-hard and who's the pussy then? The double-hard ones are either Imperial Knights, which are the big fuck off robots. So like the good versions of these dudes, massive robots, or the elder, which are the space elves.
You look at what the tournaments are going on at the moment. If it's not Imperial Knights winning, it's out. It's shocking. So mate, as a one man that you are, is this kind of a cross-border?
People kind of a little bit pissed with this. So they say it's a little bit fucking dodgy or people just getting on with it. What's the general consensus in your world? People are kind of getting on with it because it will balance itself out later down the line.
Once we get, because they do, like, codexes. So each army's got to get a refresh of their rules. And they will update the game. They'll change their stats later down the line.
But it is a bit of a piss-neck at the same time. Because my main army that I wanted to play was the Death Guard, the Chaos, like, diseased dudes. Their overall win rate is down to 25%. Right.
When games workshops say they want armies to be between 45 to 55%. So it should be like half give or take player ability. So does that make you completely kind of throw out your old kind of tactics of what you would do and have to develop something new to impact against these stronger armies in yours? Or you kind of just screw and you should go along with it?
You do have to try, but you are mostly screwed. I've had three or four games with the Death Guard. And I've just been picking mornings up off the table. Everything's dying.
I'm not killing stuff in return. The win that I'm scoring some points, but my opponent is... Yeah. But we'll see.
We'll see what happens. Because the core rules are really good. With everything, the changes that they have made, the game itself is really good. The army is just need balance.
So just give us an example of a rule change made that we can kind of understand isn't too fucking technical and for an illusion. You can go to the end and say, like really bad. So Death Guard used to have this ability where they would reduce damage by one to a minimum of one. So like your normal dude, your normal platering, has two wounds, two health.
So if you shire him with a two damage gun, that should kill him, but it would go down to one. So it would actually take twice the amount of shots to kill him, then it would a regular space room. So all these armies that are kind of geared towards killing space rooms suddenly need to like double up their successful hits and everything to kill. Death Guard.
They've now lost that. And other armies have been swapped around. They've just lost it. There's no alternative.
And the whole thing about the Death Guard is they're meant to be tough. In the law, they just walk forwards. They get shot out. They don't care.
They just keep going. But in the game now, they just die. Well, that is a big change. Obviously, if you've invested your time and money into being, you know, picking a gimmick, if you will.
And there you go. Oh, my character's shit. I mean, it's kind of like in Street Fighter, they have fair few characters that have been unbalanced. And so I'm not sick at, famously kind of like he's just, if you're good, you'll beat most people with him.
Back in the day, all of his hits were stronger. He can attack you from both levels, which no one else knows. As a projectile looking low and high. You're always going to get hit.
So it doesn't matter if you try and jump over his tiger. You can hit you with the upper car obviously. You can do the same technique with a Roy or Ken. But when you've got that two level thing, it's just so much more powerful than everyone else.
Like if you're playing against Zangi, Zangi can't jump very high. He won't even be able to get to the gap to grab him. It's just impossible. He won't be able to get there.
So it's like that and they kind of did try and sort of cigar after, I think that's a way to like four years to really balance it out. And he still was a little bit, he still kind of took a piss. They only did a really good job with the Kuma, really powerful, but he's super weak. So it's straight from, but he's always been like that.
He's always been the weakest character, like to take hits, but the strongest to give him. So they've always had a really, like that's what you like to see. But sometimes it's like fuck sake, if someone's picking a character and probably how you feel with, are a lot of people picking these new, like the teams that are a lot of people. See, that's a bit, you know, I'm not into that.
Because if you're not in our local scene, but in the outer world, so are you going to stick with your crew? How about your mates at the age? I had a voice at the shop, are they sicking today? Are they a cruiser or are they just?
They are sick or whatever. Is anyone thinking about jumping? Has everyone been talking jumping? No, but one of the guys does have, he's got one of two armies.
The one that has won all the dorm rooms has held up. Like if that is pretty much his army. He's always out. Yeah, that's always.
As you say, when they change, they go update their fucking different teams anyway, so your deathguard might get something back. Yes, they'll get something. Do you just have to hold that low? Yeah, because they'll do, they'll call them like balance data sites, and that'll come out in like autumn, something like that.
Where they'll change the wording on some rules or just straight up add new rules. So I'm hoping for something like... Thank you, Stark. You can give him the goose kit.
Yeah, boys. It's all about the goose kit, right? Yeah, a goose kit. You win the key, you win.
But I am getting, well, got a dabble with a slightly different armour. Alder. It's the dark alder. So they're kind of like just the evil versions of them.
Basically because these out, imagine the Lord of the Rings owls, they live forever. They get bored. So they just start doing some like twisted mess stuff. As you were.
They're just like, take the Coliseum, but turn it into an entire city. And they just watch people get murdered all day long. And have everything about their society is about just like pain and just excess. Like a Roman suspension.
Yeah. After they got dirty. Yeah, happens. You get bored.
You get bored. You do this now. Well, you know, let's be able to some roads, be able to some aqueducts, you know, get some sanitation going, you know, just get them right. And then you might just get a little bit bored of that.
And then get a costume. And then get people in there, turn everyone. Get some lines in there. Yeah.
Just cut them in. Nice. Yeah, I'm just going to stick with the Defguard. We're doing a narrative campaign at the shop where you guys like actually level up and get bonuses.
So I'm hoping with after a few games, I'll bring them back up to line that way. Nice. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. It's kind of like you guys actually level up. So kind of like your final fantasies in there. They'll learn new stuff.
So we could nice. More for it. Has there like, obviously those rule changes have like, has it just changed a few characters or like quite a few different ones. And have people started to like figure ways around it, like maybe add in different players kind of levels up or adds protection or something to this?
There are now different combos that kind of try and negate it. Yeah. And to be fair, someone did come second with Defguard, but that was quite early on. So I think they kind of took people by surprise with that.
Nice. So you still can do, you can still do all right with the original. You just need your match up. So imagine like Zangief not coming across like, it'll do all right.
Yeah. Yeah. As soon as you come across it. I think that's what happened there.
And there's actually some old boy was playing out who had some ridiculous rules, but he was caught cheating. He was using loaded dice. No way. Not at my shop.
No. What happened? Did someone call him out? Yeah.
They're like, I think he was using loaded dice. Imagine going in there. He went out to the shop to buy salt so they could get the salt water and put the dice in. Because if you've got a normal dice, if you spin it in salted water, it will be random.
But if it's weighted, it will always go to the same room. Wait, so wait a second. It was like the thing, you know, when they got like the electric thing and they put it in a plug to see you. Did it in front of him?
Yeah. Oh, I can't. It's funny if I was dicing it. You know what that dice in at what?
No. No. Dirty bastards. Yeah.
How do you, what, what would you do? Like, how do you play that? He got kicked out. He got kicked out.
He got kicked out. Disqualified. But he somehow, he grabbed his loaded dice. He went to the loom and he tried to flush him down the toilet.
No way. Why would you get caught doing that? He's putting the soccer stuff. Yeah.
So someone went into the toilet later and just saw these two dice sat in the bottom of the loom. That's jokes. So now that shop that howdy's tournament has got a little shrine of the picture of the dice in the toilet above the toilet. That's good.
On the fucking number. Where was this shop? Do you know the shop? Yeah.
Animal games and stock. Nice. Nice. It's like, it's like, well, widely ridiculed.
It'll be blacklisted now. He ain't going to any tournament. He's fucked it. Do you know what his name is?
Two weeks in. I can't remember his name. You can do it. Yeah.
I can follow this area. Come on. Yeah. Do you reckon this guy is fun?
Like, done it before? Has he had like a good win in streak? Has this guy got a lot of money? Sure.
Is he like a high, you know, is he a well known player? I think he was sort of known. He was getting out of any of the flute you close to. That's sketchy, you think?
It's weird to think that I'm surprised. Now they're going to have to start random dice testing people. Yeah. We should turn up in some lab coats.
Give me a photo. Give me a photo. Sorry. Excuse me.
Let me see those dice. Let me show you the dice. It's weird because people cheat in anything, weren't they? You give them the opportunity.
People are like, regardless, I was all thought it would be fun. Just people do this for fun. But they're obviously, like saying, everything competition I guess, people cheat. Given the chance they fucking cheat in anything.
It's not like esports shit now as well. People get in full out and cheat on that and they do it like, I don't know if I can do it. But people are fucking cheating. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Fuckers. It's weird. At least if you're going to cheat, don't get caught as well. If you've got some dice, you'd have the same coloured normal dice up your sleeve or something.
No, no, no, no. You'd rather some play a dirtie than cheat. That's how I would play some of it in the compartments of the game. But you could just keep jabbing or I think I told you about it.
Still one of his opponents. Yeah, yeah, just knock someone over and just really... I'm only cheating on your foot. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Now I suppose if someone's beating you, you're really good. Maybe you get so lucky for a game like load a dice, load a dice, check him. Oh, that's a loaded dice. You just always call.
He's just dicing on his dice out. He's definitely using loaded dice. He's dicing on his dice and loaded dice cheating. He's cheating.
Yeah, it's a ruin his career. You gave him those dice and no one did not. You can't get me out of it. You can't get me out of it.
You've got any proof? You know what the next Turbo Tabletop needs to be. Jono interviewing that, I'll point. If you could get that in with you Jono, that would be a...
Chris Hanson's dice as well. Yeah, yeah, how did you get that? Yeah, how did you get him? Really?
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, actually. Why do you talk with who? How does that one get to this point?
It's either. Jono's got a fun... The dice. It's the dice.
One of those. Imagine if you flush your cheating dice down the loo and they're not flushing. There you go. And then you leave them.
I just scoot that in. Yeah, exactly. Why are you trying to flush them? You've probably got this.
