Cultivating an attitude of relaxed, confident benevolence is a real psychological challenge for parents as well as for every human being trying to cope with fears. Coming to factual terms with our mortality remains central to our sense of well-being, in order to meet the need for authenticity and not get overwhelmed by costly survival strategies. The practice of living consciously remains a vital pillar of self-esteem and flourishing, along with cultivating gratitude for simply being alive in the world. Repairing attachment ruptures involves emotional regulation and integration, in order to foster of a coherent mental narrative, which enables stability, flexibility, and adaptiveness.
