The sound quality on this one is not good because I lost the high quality audio files and was stuck using the Zoom recording. I genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, do not understand what could've happened, but such is life. Anyway, this episode of Real time was a real dud, but that's okay (sort of) because our guest wasn't! Writer and comedian Pallavi Gunalan joined me, and she came in firmly on the "I have only seen bits and pieces of Maher but I hated all of it" side of things. A recent interview shows just how completely out of touch Bill Maher is with the city he calls home and supposedly loves is, plus questions, and a mid episode comedy sketch that's so inscrutable I... I just don't know, man. And all this headlined by a Real Time panel that has so little chemistry and flow that it genuinely seems like Bill Maher got annoyed and just ended the episode early.
