14. Purim

WELCOME TO OUR VERY FIRST GUEST EPISODE! Join us for a traditional (kinda) telling of the story of Purim with Special Guest Host Josh (@sayer_of_stuff on twitter). If you're looking for a serious, in depth analysis of the Festival of Lots... why are you looking here?! CW: (boilerplate warning that this is a Tanakh/Old Testament story), antisemitism, sexism/patriarchal systems, murder, genocide (attempted, f**k Haman), alcohol (a lot), religious discussion (we go pretty hard at the Mormons), fasting, hanging, pretty sure Jack calls himself a slur at one point but in a reclaim-y way, also we talk about boobs a fair amount. Names (spelling): Esther, King Ahasuerus, Queen Vashti, Mordecai, Haman (boo)
