#14 Tim Sykes- Self-Made Millionaire Investor

In Episode 14 of What Got You There we are joined by Tim Sykes. Tim is a penny stock trader, entrepreneur and author who is best known for taking his $12,415 bar mitzvah gift money and turned it into $1.65 million by the time he turned 21. Sykes is dedicated to creating other multimillionaire investors through the company he cofounded in 2011, Profit.ly. Tim has created other millionaires through his guidance including his student Tim Grittani who took $1,500 and turned it into over $1 million in 3 years. In addition to creating massive amounts of wealth Tim has also been philanthropic. In February he donated $1 million to Pencils of Promise to help build 20 new primary schools across Ghana, Guatemala and Laos. Sykes also founded the Timothy Sykes Foundation, which has raised $600,000 and has partnered with Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club. Sykes is well known for his loud personality and social media posts showing his flashy lifestyle. These posts include him surrounded by a million dollars in cash, videos of him flying down the streets in his Lamborghini and breath taking views from many of his vacations.
