from Discograffiti · host David Gebroe
There’s no disputing that Phil Manzanera is an art-rock genius. Dovetailing with the imminent release of his incredible memoir, “Revolucion To Roxy,” we cast a glance back at the Roxy Music guitarist and songwriter’s early days in the band. In this episode, Phil & I discuss: The real story behind how Phil acquired that bug-eyed glasses look; The decidedly un-weird song with which Phil auditioned for Roxy; And why exactly he primarily connects mainly with the first 3 Roxy Music albums.
