While we both loved this book, we found it challenging to do justice to the narrative's intricacies with a handful of plot highlights and similar book recommendations.We have done our best to create a sort of Alchemised primer: an introduction to the world and magic system, and a rough breakdown of why the "good" and "bad" guys are fighting with each other.
