142 - Child's Play (1988) Review

Andy wants a newly advertised, popular doll more than anything for his birthday. His mother gets it for him, but little do they know, the doll embodies the soul of a serial killer.Child's Play is as Shane says - two different movies in one. It's a horror film until Chucky comes alive and at that point, it's a comedy. While the movie can be quite ridiculous and humorous at times, it has a charm. Many people are afraid of inanimate objects (like dolls) coming alive so the idea is certainly creepy. In any case, it's very entertaining and we enjoyed discussing Child's Play.
