That is the way it goes. I suppose being having a deep trip bag but then not going to have in those super tech street tricks like the Nolly in wood heels and stuff like that, you can beat pretty quickly. Exactly. You know, we definitely spoke about it before.
You're a big fan of just how old are people who are all switching. If they haven't got the standard ABC flat ground and you go against someone who has those. It's going to be a real hard time. Exactly.
Exactly. If you just don't roll switch at all, in a game escape you won't pull an out of bag. You're going to mess up on a switch front shove. You know what I mean?
And that's one of those quite easy tricks if you just punch it in the right direction. It's quite neat trick. You've got to practice it. And the same with a switch up as well mate.
A lot of them are stuck up with rotation but it is pretty simple. You've just got to roll switch enough just to pop it around there. It's not too difficult but a lot of people don't do it. So they'll swing it or they won't get the rotation because they'll try and pop it too much.
Yeah. And you know, you wouldn't have necessarily seen that a while ago. It's a bit more expected view to be able to do every single, the standard tricks. And talking about learning the standard tricks and having some switch game.
The Jamie Griffin versus Zack Dolan game was yesterday's game. Saturday's game. And we can spoil it. It's already happened but Jamie came out victorious on that.
Really good game. Really, really good game. But Zack Dolan's perfection of skateboarding is just incredible. It is so textbook but with power.
You know, he's got decent pops. So it's not just everything is regular. It's still snappy, decent pop, good height, nice bolts landing in the pockets as well. Right in the spots.
Lovely name. I say again, the Nye Pup Shurve and the Switch Pup Shurve was absolutely superb. You know, watch both of those two or three times. It's just so, so clean.
Yeah. That is, he does use a similar, I mean, I use a similar technique to him to get mine as high in his perky. It's the same kind of almost holding a lot of pressure on that board and then harnessing it. That's how you kind of get it.
It isn't just about banging it. Snap, but it's about having a decent amount of pressure, primed and power ready to go. And then suck a few of it as much as you can. It's all about the lift and the timing of the lift to make sure you're not undersellin it or open it.
It's a one movement trick. You know, it's not really tail. Tailor nose doing something different. I mean, they are doing something different, but they are lift that happens all at the same time.
It's all exactly the same. Just feeding it through, holding your legs up, waiting for it to nestle in there and then protein hammering it down. Yeah, no, definitely. I can watch Zachal unscathed the whole time.
Jamie Griffin, I want him to do good this time round again. Yeah, some of his tricks, not quite there. He's doing some absolute bangers. His double heel and that was one of the nicest double heels I've seen.
But then his switch up was a little bit of a floor sweep other than just the same with what we watched with Andy and Nick Holt, mate. It can just go so many ways. And obviously Andy and some Jamie Griffin are still in that round. We'll be in an un-compareable to each other, but still having uncommon tricks and more common slowly becoming more comfortable.
Yeah. What a game escape. Yeah, really, really good trick selection by Zach and Jamie hitting tricks nicely as well. He isn't hitting him as pro as Zachal.
You can definitely tell the difference. But Jamie's frontside flip. I mean, Zach's frontside flip was incredible. Jamie's was pretty flowy as well, mate.
Yeah, it was really, really nicely done. Yeah, that was nice defensive fence. I prefer Zachal, but I love someone. They've got a flowy thing.
Really cool. Probably kind of flow in under. That's it. Yeah.
And it's always fun to watch someone play skate, especially when they're on a certain level of skateboarding. Just to watch their technique and watch how forgiving they are and how gentlemen of the game they're going to play, because all of that is down to the skate at the end of the day and what they're putting out there, what they're giving out, how much fun they're having, whatever. And it's just always interesting to see how different everyone attacks a game escape, especially when you can win something pretty fucking cool. I'm just trying to see, I'm just waiting for this video to end, just to see if they show the brackets at the end so we can have a little kind of...
I'm not sure what they do. I think they just show the kind of the corner. They've just flicks up, but you don't get to see it for very long. Almost kind of start zooming in before you can read all the names on the other brackets.

And I was putting Jamie Griffin session and Zack Dolan session and before and Zack Dolan was practicing double flip stuff and Jamie was practicing the backside bigger flip because that's what Zack Dolan does.
But Jamie Griffin said he always does the backside bigger spin. He doesn't do the flip. So he set it with the biggest spin because obviously if you do the other one, probably not going to be a stop at flippin. So stuff like that.
There's always, who is an interest in you just how good are you? It's consistent. Have you got some drugs? Nice.
We've moved on to another video mate. We didn't actually discuss before we came on but we could just breeze over it because I haven't had time to watch it. It's been great to see a lot of full link videos coming out or decent feature link videos. It's like the huff forever video.
So about a little go through it mate. But I haven't had the time to sit down and really give it my full attention because I've given up a couple of other videos. But it does it really cool. If you actually kind of just look through some of the filming and it's pretty decent.
It's got some weight to it. It's saying that it's a proper old school brand that's been around for a long time. It is saying that. You know, it's putting out something that you would be proud of.

This decision to skate for Jacuzzi unlimited is probably the same sort of thing. He could skate for any company he fucking wants me. He's one of the top tier skates on the planet. He's a special talent.
And just doing all the tricks you want to see, think the first trick me is awesome. You know what I think it's a front tee to Fakimani, like front tee to Fakimani, like down, maybe a down a curb. Or no, onto look like a sidewalk. Then, sorry, front, front tail slide to Fakimani, Fakimani flip down a curb to Fakimani.
Fakimani? Yep. Fakimani pop up a curb to end. Yeah, it's how, how would you keep yourself in that?
We've spoken about that manual before me. Obviously you're more of a manual official than I am. That is that that heavy weight in that manual. To be that kind of flicky in that, like your feet, your ass wakes down a thing.
Really, yeah, again, out there. Like, yeah, the flip might be easier, but to land back in manual again, I can't, I don't know, ever, ever get to that. That is just, I can't even comprehend that. Well, and the thing is, he makes it look easy.
Yeah. Which is the hardest part, you know, looks really, really, really easy. Look, you know, it looks like you just did it. Yeah, it was, you know, it was a few like a common boy did into it, maybe a kickflip or something, but it was like a roof, little rooftop manual.
So like, maybe like kickflip knows manual, something to knows manny. And then gap from this roof onto like an angle shed roof, all shingles, there's like no's manny, gnarly flip, you know, a gap onto another roof, but like a shed roof on an angle. You know, most people have been on some sort of like shingily, sort of thing, and it's soft and you know, it slows you down, it's awkward. And just doing like a flip and flip out manny trick on something like that is just crazy.
Yeah, it just shows the, the level that you sat, you know, to be able to still figure out the board. Like you said, on those softer, weirder kind of textured conditions. Of angles with, you know, potential repercussions. Mate, there's, um, he hits this, um, like on an outlet with a manny pad on top of it, yet to switch heel, switch money, switch heel out off the end of it.
That is absolute perfection. Yeah. He's basically shown off two, two types of his switch heel or perky one and a big boy, and one trick, you can say, I can do it all, but I'm just combining them because I can manual between them as well. Yeah, it is.
Yeah. Perfect. Any and outy. Yeah.
And yeah, and talking about, you know, we all need one of the game escapes, you know, a couple of mirroring your tricks and there's a lovely five-oh kick flip and there's a lovely switch vibe. Okay. Very nice. Yeah.
And he's hitting a lot of kind of like a wrong way tricks. You know, hit the switch back when I eat over like a hubber, the wrong way. Yeah. He hit the, he hit the rail.
There's another rail trick that you're going to get to it now. He basically goes the wrong way over that. So yeah, no, you're here all kind of behind him. Yeah.
On a rail. Yeah. That big, big switch, Charlie, over the side of that hubber stesser. Yeah.
Yeah. The front side, Nolly, when I eat down like a hubber sort of rail as well down, like the long way round rather than kind of behind you in front of you, kind of over. So he's just, he is a super caliber of skater. So he said, landed on those shingles, mate, it's just, that'd be such a deadening feeling to land on those things.
Yeah. Mate, who's got a bit of switch here at the moment? He hits another one just later in the party. I'm just just going in front of me.
It's so perky. So good. Yeah. Mate, just what a skateboard.
You know, what, he's definitely reached that level of, you know, absolute perfection pretty much. Mate, it's just, it's crazy. He blesses us with a few frontside flips as well. So he doesn't keep us waiting for that.
Yeah. You know, switch and regular. Yeah. But I just love how precisely as we were speaking with the switch manuals, you know, landing in switch manual and keeping things going is just, it's so accurate.
It's the most accurate skating again. Yeah. It's the, oh God, I'll go back to that one. On a many pad, he goes for where is he?
So that was a front shot to nose, Manny, not a flip to nose, Manny. And out is how, who does that stuff? Exactly. Yeah.
Just so, so much, Manny tech. And seeing someone, you know, so good at switch heel and switch flip and nolly heel and nolly flip, you know, just to be great at everything. Switch five, oh, flip out, out ledge. And then, and then still having a great, uh, burial heel, regular burial, it's not like he's neglected any part of his skating mate.
They're all kind of, uh, just as precise as the other. Normally that doesn't happen. No. Yeah.

So they only released a couple, but now the DVDs out and they're releasing pretty much the whole, whole video on YouTube. And it's a really, really slick production. It is, it's a really enjoyable. It is long, you know, it's an hour and a half or whatever.
So it does take a long time to go through it. But if you think about how long, you know, if you're just scrolling through, you know, through Instagram at night or something, how many hours you might waste of that in a week or whatever, giving something full length, full length video time, you've got the time to do it. You've got the time and you and you really enjoy it. They just, it's efficient.
Japanese kind of production values, really creative Japanese street skating, you know, what you're expecting it. And it's just definitely worth it. I'd be tempted to buy the DV now just I've got the physical media of this because I think it is one of those skate videos that you'd like to have to watch whenever, you know, if the grid goes down, you've still got a DVD player, mate, you can still watch this video and get inspired. That's nice.
Yeah. Yeah, you've got, you've got like the Japanese super rat in there, you know, you've got a Shimpay, you know, who's like a funky manual skater. It's his brand, you know, it's a funky kind of manual skater. It's got a few, it's one of those, I'm not going to remember all the Japanese names because it's just not a natural thing to keep.
Yeah, I know. Twenty two Japanese in my head, but definitely go and check them out. Like it makes you want to kind of, you know, wear some Japanese shit, wear some Japanese brands or whatever. And it makes sure to play with skateboarding as well because they still, the Japanese approach is very different.
Like a US approach and UK approach. It's like more technical, but a little bit more fun, you know, there's a, there's a weird kind of line. Yeah, it's not hard and aggressive as UK skating because it's just not, they've got better spots. Yeah, definitely more of a different flow.
Yeah, that's interesting. But yeah, definitely, yeah, definitely at some point, just put yourself, if you get it on, on your telling and watch it on YouTube, you know, that would be a way to do it, get some popcorn out, but asking, you know, your partner to sit down and watch an hour and a half is getting that is difficult, you know, you're going to find some me time for that. Yeah, sure. I don't think anyone's going to kind of hold out and wait, watch that much Japanese skating when they don't normally.

Of course, you know, the soundtrack, the skaters, the roster, you know, it was, it had it all. It was such, such a big video and it has been such a long time that it's always going to be a staple. It's a who's who. It's a who's who of legacy skaters that kind of brought people into through the 90s, carried the torch all the way in there, and then you've got the people that have like Costan hit his prime at this point, and then you've got lots of pawdry go, Jeremy Rogers just coming in, it's got it all.
Yeah, probably for me, this is like definitely some of my, this is, you know, if you know, when we're picking the top five, when we're doing, you know, the all stars, this is when I'm thinking of Costan and thinking of people like that, right? In this era, you know, obviously he's still great now, but right then, you know, he's manualing and grinding back, you know, knows, blunting all these tables, and he's got on his basketball jersey, and he's got some nicer era specific sneeze going, and just banging out trick after trick, and, you know, saying with some people like random people and other people, but what, what a team, and yeah, people are coming in at a young age, but still being as good as he was then, to how he is now, crazy man. And having the chocolate team in there as well, you know, as a big deal, having Mark Johnson in there, make, you know, throwing it down with a proper part. Yeah, and anytime girl, chocolate, look, I, you know, that's that family producing something, you know, you probably got some spike Jones in there, and it's going to be some good production in those, you know, that you're probably going to see some skits, you're going to see all the things that you want to see in a good skate, but yeah.
Exactly, and you're blessed with Owen Wilson as well, mate, you know, that skit is one of the greatest of all time, you know, everyone knows front salad, back salad, front blunt, you know, and so ridiculous because he's asking, he's saying Hollywood high, what did I do? Yeah, but like if you're a skater, you know that Hollywood high is like a 16th day with a big handrail. So what he's actually saying, he's not just saying he's going to occur, probably what I do, he's saying I'm throwing down on Hollywood, it's a really good joke, because you know, you know, you know, it's like, oh yeah, obviously he's not doing it, but he's talking about what he did a front salad, back salad, on a handrail down a 16th there. It's just, it's brilliant.
It's really good. Yeah, it's so good. And then the invisible board, the invisible board, mate, yeah, before never seen before. Yeah, see the front side flip without a board flip mate is a beautiful thing.
P rod hits the, yeah, with the double, I'm trying to think he hits the other trick with him, but there's two of them going down at the same time, and he hits a nice front side flip down that set. They're all kind of, yeah, it's so good. It's so good, you know, starting with people when he was just sort of raw, but talented, skater, you know, technical skater coming through the ranks, you know, being informed when he was younger, you know, and then kind of hitting the big time, getting the first part and yeah, right, you know, it's a big deal. So killer drawing Wilson footage as well.
Yeah, and Rick, I'm a big man of Rick Howard, I love his skating. He always seems to find cool spots and do the right trick on him, but a cool cheekier spot, you know, nothing crazy technical, but still technical enough. Yeah, and nice enough. Exactly, he knows what he's doing on the board.
You know, you might not be the same level as Carol and in costen, but he's still pretty, he's up there. Oh, yeah. I love his footage. I think it's great to see.
Shane Guide doesn't have as much footage as you'd like him to have in there. That's just how it is, you know, especially back then and afterwards. I was a huge fan of Jamie Rogers, you know, it was one of the big faces and great skaters at the time, and he upset his own career by just being the person was, but he was and is such a great skater. Mate, I commend him for it though, because he the fucker we'd say don't, you know, his dream, he might have found skating easy and he wants to do whatever.
And I think that's cool. Yeah. I mean, yeah, he was a prodigy and he could have gone down. He could have, you know, multiple times, skate really, yeah, I'm sure he could have got it, if he wanted to.
But that's his choice. So whatever. That's it. And I think you find that with people who are really talented sometimes, they have to do more than just one thing.
Yeah, I do, when I was watching it back earlier in a week, watching Rick McCrank kind of work again, because he's always, you know, he's been one of my, one of my boys for a long time and, you know, being in bird, that was the end and watching his four ones and then a life really nice guy, all round skateboarder, you know, just good on a skateboard generally doesn't matter what he's doing. Tranny Street, you can rails, manuals, big shit. He can do it all. So it's nice to see that he, I think he's like second last part of something.
He was right near the end of the video, you know, he's a big time player. So and his trade mate, I'm a big fan of Rick McCrank's trade. Yeah, classic. Slap and banger, you know, they're perfect, really kind of efficient, but with a lot of power in them, a lot of velocity in the spin.
Yeah, great, great skater and great pub and, you know, loved it same sort of thing. You know, Mike Carroll in his ear and just laying it down, lo, you know, all the tricks. Yeah. Great solid style.
I mean, like Brian Anderson, that part is one of the most iconic parts in skateboard. Power house, yeah. Kick flips down, you know, power kick flips down stairs, you know, like I just, he is what he was never going to like my favorite skater, but again, being a four one one kid, he was in it quite a lot. And you did get to see him quite a lot.
And he's like, he is a power house of escape. He's always like it. So it's always always great to see him just throw shit that blokes of six, three, whatever he is should not be throwing. Yeah, that's one of things made more interesting to see.
Pop a burly bloke jumping down big stairs. Yeah, no, obviously low there be a lot. So that was prime be a pretty much. Yeah, I mean, if we were to do an all stars mate, like an all stars of all stars, yeah, top five, state videos of all time, which maybe we'll do that soon.

I saw Baker two, being more of my era, I was a little bit older coming into it. Obviously I watched it at shit loads, but Baker two was more of like where, where I was at, you know, in terms of those videos I'm thinking about. So it's just where you kind of fell in, right? Yeah.
So like we're saying, we mouse, we, the mouse wasn't our video. We didn't. For me, one of the biggest videos I watched growing up just because of the availability, we had like a weird sports channel. Well, I think we had had extreme sports and stuff like that.
And fucking occasionally they'd get some skate videos on there, but almost round three coming to my radar and that probably come out around that sort of time as well. And that was a big thing for me. It wasn't my most favorite one, but it was in my top five from probably still is just because of how much I watched it. Yeah.
And it was just available. It's crazy, right? Because there could be one like video part that really kind of just sticks or a couple of videos in the whole video that just makes you just like one with that video, you know, like, heavy tap inhabitants is one of my favorites because it had Danny Garcia in it, gets Stefan Jynoski, Frigal, like Silas Baxonil, he had that that kind of, who else we got in there, Raymond Molina, there's loads, there's like loads of skates, Austin Gillette was in there as a youngster, you know, so you get these videos that like, fuck this, this has got heavy, heavy hitters in it. And if you kind of grew up watching that video, that's yours.
That's like, that's on the list. And then yeah, fucking blind wife and shit like that was kind of fairly available to, I was able to watch that a few times, which I would probably watch, yeah, quite a lot as well. Make the falling video. Yes.
Yeah. Well, I don't know if I can't, it's hard not to put the falling video on there, man. So many good videos come out around that 99 to 2003, 2004, 2005. We'll have to, yeah, we'll plan to do this after we've got like maybe a good 10 scale star teams under about maybe we'll try and do an all-star rule stamping.
I think it's going to be difficult, but I think we respect all the videos enough that we could bend. I think you might have an angle or something that, for me, bird out the end, I loved it because it was one of those, that's one of the videos that first got me into it. It probably wasn't yours, probably wasn't Jonos, you know, just wear it falls. So that's why I like a fun stuff, because of Andrew Reynolds, you know, and it just all falls into place from there.
You kind of just follow that little path and kind of follow those skaters where they go afterwards, where if you start from a different point of view, you're going to follow those skates into their next companies and their next adventures and whatnot. So I think it's a cool discussion. Yeah, no, definitely. You could just keep going for sure.
It's going to be a good one for Nalas. Yeah, yeah, right. I was so good. Just the pacing, the music, everything, just as a whole, I think they've got proper producers and directors and everything in place, you know, Ty Evans, Spike Jones.

They know how to put something together, so you can trust them to make something and with the technology that they're getting from, you know, Hollywood and the connections, the cool little intro, you know, the cameos from the celebrities, which they kind of continued in, you know, pretty sweet and everything like that. It's all, I really, I think it's awesome.
Yeah, they've always, always kind of pushed the boundary of just like having a film, like trying to go more cinematic or just do a bit of everything. And that's what you want. You want to have a fun way watching that. You want to be funny and all this sort of shit as well.
You want to be able to keep watching it. So, so good. So easy to digest. I'm going to be pretty much just want to escape as you glued to, you know, yeah, you can always put it on me.
