143 - Innovation and interoperability for healthier care; Geoffrey Sayer, Medtech Global

Innovating the way GPs do primary care with MedTech Global. Geoffrey Sayer is a twenty-year veteran of Health IT across Australia and New Zealand. He has held leadership roles in several large companies. Last year, Geoffrey led the acquisition of Medtech Global with co-investment from Advent Partners. He is now CEO and Managing Director of Medtech Global. Medtech Global is a New Zealand software company and is over thirty years old. It primarily serves the general practice space in New Zealand, providing the classic patient practice management system. In this episode, Pete and Geoff explore the work that Medtech Global is doing right now with interoperability and sharing healthcare data and records quickly and securely with third-party applications. They also discuss how interoperability facilitates better patient care and more efficient healthcare services.
