#144 Fetal Abduction

This week we have Gina back for an episode, and wow, did we ever pick a fun one. This episode is all about fetal abduction, and if you're not sure exactly what that is, you are very lucky. Because we are going to talk about what it is, how much it happens, and how it's done. And along the way, we'll also talk about the band Ghost, the (theoretical) most depressed pregnant woman in history, and state sponsered fetal theft. Go big or go home.SOURCEShttps://www.researchgate.net/publication/364894563_Fetal_abduction_historical_perspectives_methodology_and_motives https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2001-mar-25-mn-42574-story.html https://www.timescall.com/2020/07/02/colorado-court-of-appeals-upholds-verdict-100-year-sentence-in-dynel-lane-fetal-abduction-case https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fetal_abduction https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2023/jan/16/tracing-stolen-children-of-argentina-dirty-war https://www.cbsnews.com/news/lisa-montgomery-us-conducts-its-1st-execution-of-female-inmate-since-1953/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Bobbie_Jo_Stinnett https://caselaw.findlaw.com/court/al-supreme-court/1473835.html https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/dec/02/fetal-abduction-attacks-expectant-mothers https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/15/AR2010061504810.html?sid=ST2010061505462&icid=main https://murderpedia.org/female.C/c/curry-demus.htm https://torontosun.com/2016/04/29/colorado-woman-sentenced-to-100-years-for-cutting-fetus-from-woman https://www.startribune.com/charges-detail-couple-s-alleged-motive-in-fargo-woman-s-death/442017373/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1996/03/17/baby-allegedly-stolen-from-womb/f3dd4d6f-1f47-4c83-97d6-31f4095e0e9d/ https://globalnews.ca/news/2671466/u-s-woman-who-cut-a-baby-from-womb-gets-100-year-sentence/ [email protected]://www.facebook.com/groups/952876465260434/?ref=sharehttps://www.patreon.com/Mentalillnesstheaterhttps://www.instagram.com/mentalillnesstheatre_theworst?igsh=OW5hdnM2OGR5anRzhttps://www.tiktok.com/@mentalillnessthea?_t=8jn7VhD1bS1&_r=1PSCats@redbubble------------------------------------------© Stabby Goose ProductionsResearched and presented by Mark and Gina BoutilierWritten and edited by Mark BoutilierBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/mental-illness-theatre--5055057/support.
