In this episode I talked with Dr. Dale Ahlquist. Dr. Ahlquist is the co-founder of Chesterton Academy, the President of the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton, and the creator and host of the EWTN series “G.K. Chesterton: The Apostle of Common Sense.” He is known as the world leading expert on G.K. Chesterton and is the author of the commentary on Chesterton’s book, The Everlasting Man.In our conversation we talked about how The Everlasting Man was the book that converted C.S. Lewis to Christianity, and why Lewis said that this book put forth the best explanation of Christianity that he had ever read. We discussed Chesterton’s intellectual ability despite his dropping out of college and never pursuing a higher education.
