146 Mary Cameron: Life in Paint
from Porty Podcast · host David Calder, Helen Scott
Send us Fan MailPortobello has a famous daughter whom you almost certainly have never heard of. In her day, at the turn of the 20th century, Mary Cameron was as famous as the Glasgow Boys or the Scottish Colourists who were working around the same time. She was respected enough to have solo exhibitions in Edinburgh, London and Paris almost every year until the start of the First World War. But an exhibition which opened this month at the City Art Centre will be the first to feature her work in over a century. Porty Podcast Producer, David Calder, has been to take a look.https://www.edinburghmuseums.org.uk/whats-on/mary-cameron-life-paint
