147 - Green Lantern (2011)

"Let those who worship evil’s might, beware my power - Green Lantern’s light!" The great philosopher of our time Kermit the Frog once said, “It’s not that easy being green,” and, in our experience, it’s not that easy watching it either! This week, in honor of the first “new hero” of James Gunn’s new DCU making his way to theaters in Blue Beetle, we’re talking about another third-tier sci-fi hero that was intended to kickstart a massive cinematic universe all the way back in 2011! Join us as Brett, Stephen, and Tucker join forces to talk the comic book origins of the Green Lantern, the career of Ryan Reynolds, and why this movie is such a mess!
