What do you do before a cider tour sets sail from Paris to Normandy? You take in the city of lights, sounds and sights. It is located within walking distance from my hotel. Montmarte overlooks Paris and is one of the highest points in the city - in the Dome, which I climbed …all 300 steps up and down, you are higher than the Effiel Tower. The fee to climb the Dome is 6 euros. If you have difficulty with stairs this is not a good choice. There is a courtyard nearby filled with artist and the Salvador Dali Museum is nearby. An early evening walk along the Champs-Élysées  and a cruise through the courtyard of the Louvre, and then onto Pont Neuf to catch a  river boat tour along the River Seine. The Vedettes du Pont Neuf boat tour is an hour long and cost approximately 14 euros.Make reservations online and get the same tour for 10 euros. I highly recommend this tour, as it is not a crowded boat and takes you along many of the major attractions. Go on the evening tour and see the Eiffel Tower sparkle on the hour every hour until 1 am.
