147 - The Tiger Who Came... For THREE!
from Back Of The Net - The AFC Bournemouth Podcast · host Back of the Net - The AFC Bournemouth Podcast
At one point this season, Bournemouth were NINE points clear of the team in third, yet now, we are three points behind the team in second. It's all a bit tense, so let’s come together, breathe, and talk… so, to talk Tigers it’s Sam, Tom and Tigz. This season has been dubbed the poorest in terms of Championship quality. On paper, we should be streets ahead, in reality, we’re just one of many teams that is contributing to the lack of quality in this division. However, all is not lost, and we’ve got things in our own hands - but with 19 games to go, is it time we took an honest look in the mirror and just admitted to ourselves that there is a problem here? We’re seeing a desire for controlling games. But what is “control”? Is control “safe”? Is control playing keep-ball when you could otherwise unleash the natural potential in your squad? Is it, overplaying the ball and trying to walk it into the net? Does that approach not give a bit of impetus to the opposition? We'll chew the fat and try to end on a high, as ever!
