149 - Brainscan (with Stevie Webb)
from Strong Language & Violent Scenes Podcast Hosted by Mitch Bain & Andy Stewart
Well, CHUDs, we're almost there. A week away from the big 150. However, we've got more pressing matters at hand: EPISODE 149! This week, we're joined by the host of the Brain Rot Podcast, a great new horror podcast that we felt an instant kinship with as soon as it emerged. That's right, it's our absolute pleasure to welcome STEVIE WEBB to the show! His film choice? We're headed back to 1994 for Edward Furlong-starring tech-horror mind-bender BRAINSCAN! An overdue revisit for Andy and (inevitably) a first watch for Mitch, the synopsis for this one is as follows... "Horror films and computer games fascinate teenager Michael (Edward Furlong), and a CD-ROM that portrays murder from the killer's point of view combines these interests. The first time Michael plays it, he kills a stranger and cuts off a foot, thinking the events take place in virtual reality. But the next day Michael finds a foot in his refrigerator, and cyber-ghoul Trickster (T. Ryder Smith) emerges from the program and forces him to keep playing -- and to continue committing violent crimes." Please note that this podcast may contain strong language and even stronger Scottish accents. Also, why not pop over and take a look at our Patreon page?
