Dr. Christine Peralta, Asst. Professor of History, Sexuality, Women’s and Gender Studies at Amherst College and Dr. Ian Shin, Asst. My research and teaching concentrate on U.S.-China relations, U.S. empire, immigration, and the Asian American experience. He received my Ph.D., M.Phil., and M.A. from Columbia University, and my A.B. magna cum laude from Amherst College.Ian currently teaches at the University of Michigan, where he holds an appointment as an assistant professor in the Department of History and the Department of American Culture.
