#15 A.I.R. Blekinge - Anna Estarriola

Anna Estarriola är en av de konstnärer som var först ut hos A.I.R. Blekinge - Baltic One. I det konstnärliga residenset A.I.R. Blekinge ingick boende och ateljé under tre veckor i Ronneby, och dessutom en rad möten och besök runt om i länet. Estarriola bor och verkar sedan 15 år i Helsingfors, men är född och uppvuxen i Katalonien. Under vistelsen i Ronneby färdigställde hon de tre skulpturala verk som just nu visas I en installation i ett ljudisolerat rum under den 8:e Åbobiennalen för samtida konst (8th Turku Biennial). Hennes verk visas på Ars Nova fram till i början av april 2018. De tre protyperna av en slags existenser som låter, rör sig och är i dialog med varandra. Installationen rör sig i ett spänningsfyllt gränsland mellan verkligt och konstgjort liv och mellan missförstånd och förståelse. Anna Estarriola is one of the artists who was the first guests at A.I.R. Blekinge - Baltic One. The Artists´s Residence included accommodation and studio for three weeks in Ronneby, Sweden, and a number of meetings and visits around the county. Estarriola lives and works in Helsinki since 15 years, but was born and raised in Catalonia. During her stay in Ronneby she completed three cross-medial sculptural works that are currently being shown in an installation in a soundproofed room during the 8th Turku Biennial. Her works are in the exhibition at Ars Nova until the beginning of April 2018. The three preliminary prototypes that represent hypothetical innovations yet to be released, move and are in dialogue with each other. The installation interacts in a tense borderland between real and artificial life and between misunderstandings and understanding.
