Alfa-1-antitrypsinmangel, også kaldet AATD, er en arvelig, men ofte overset sygdom, hvor kroppen mangler et protein, der beskytter lungerne mod nedbrydning. Det kan føre til udvikling af lungeemfysem og give symptomer som åndenød, hoste og hvæsende vejrtrækning, ofte i en yngre alder og uden tydelig årsag. Hos nogle patienter kan sygdommen også påvirke leveren.
