15 – Can You Be Okay Even If? A Difficult Adoption Conversation

from ADOPTION STRUGGLES AND SUPPORT | Adoption Trauma, Safety, Peace of Mind, Biblical Encouragement, Respite, Journaling · host Tim Maudlin - Adoptive Parent, The Persistent Encourager, Journaling Coach

It was a day my wife and I had looked forward to celebrating with our son for years. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a day of celebration turned into a day of tears. Hi Neighbor!⁣ Is it possible to be okay even if your adoptive child is not? I’m here to tell you IT IS possible. Is it going to be easy? No! In this episode, I want to share the story of a conversation I had with my son Jonny four years ago. I believe it’s a conversation adoptive parents need to be prepared to have. I also believe having this conversation with Jonny, is one of the reasons he is turning his life around today. Hope and Healing are on the way. Your Neighbor,⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Tim⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ P.S. If you missed my interview with Jonny in episode 14, you can catch it here. In it, he shares one of the tools he is putting into practice. P.S.S.
