#15 - Christopher Campbell

from Gibran's Place · host Gibran Maciel

Christopher Lundy Campbell is the oldest United States' wrestler to medal in the Olympic Games. When he won his Olympic Bronze in 1992 he was a month away from his 38th birthday. Campbell would have likely won the Olympic Gold in 1980, however, the Carter Administration's boycott of the Olympics kept him from competing. He would go on to win the world championship in 1981 proving he was in fact the best in the world at the time. Christopher fought racism and injuries to get on the mat. He is now a successful lawyer in San Francisco.
