De charismatische golf slaat nu volledige door de dijken van de protestantse Kerk in Nederland. Er wordt door sommigen gestreefd naar een "nationale synode" waar nadrukkelijk ook de charismatische kerken voor zijn uitgenodigd. Zij horen er immers bij volgens een groeiende consensus.Wij focussen ons vandaag op een enkel gegeven: Arjan Plaisier is predikant geworden van de Fontein in Apeldoorn, waar ze bezig zijn om te experimenteren met allerlei vormen van "christelijke spiritualiteit." Dat zet de deur wijd open voor de charismatische beweging. Vreemd is het niet: we hebben al het Evangelisch Werkverband dat compleet op de charismatische toer is gegaan. En de protestantse dominee Henk Reijnders is al voorzitter van het Charismatische Werkgezelschap. Het is niet meer te stoppen, zo lijkt het. Het enige wat nog kan is er tegen te waarschuwen. Verder in deze uitzending: een bespreking van Deuteronomium 12. We zouden ons de waarschuwingen tegen de afgoderij en een eigenzinnige eredienst moeten aantrekken.
