15. Gratitude: How taking photos strengthens our gratitude muscles
from The Habit Thrive Podcast ~ Self Care Habits, Mindfulness & Wellness Routines for Women 50 & Beyond · host Lorrie Mickelson, Habits & Self Care
You may have heard the saying, "What you focus on grows." When you focus your attention and energy into positive things, you invite even more positivity and happiness into your life. This week on Episode 15 of The Habit Thrive Podcast, we focus on opening our eyes to the beauty and blessings around us and perhaps snapping a photo or two to savour these blessings even longer. So, what are the things that make your heart swell with those warm, fuzzy feelings? -Sunrises and sunsets enjoyed by yourself or with a favourite person -Family get togethers and belly laughs with friends -Pets nestled with you in front of the fireplace -Flowers hit by the sun at the perfect angle -A gorgeous plate of food -A last fall canoe or kayak -Watching kids jumping in piles of leaves or jumping in yourself -A hot cup of coffee or tea -A rocking chair Anything goes! As you start to notice the things that make you feel grateful, snap a picture of those moments. Not to take away from the moment, but to help you savour it, share it, and remember it. This is how gratitude opens our heart and keeps on giving! And let gratitude fuel this chapter and your next. Lorrie xoxox Loving the show? Let’s connect!
