15. Guest: Chef Jarryd Goundrey. Pocket Dockets & Army Chefs @ RoyAl's Chicken &Burgers

from No Crying in the Coolroom · host No Crying in the Coolroom

An infantry soldier turned fine dining chef; Chef Jarryd Goundrey had a 7 year military career before securing a  larder position at Cutler & Co, in Melbourne, with a duck pond crouton plating disaster that only the most elite Masterchef housewife could be jealous of hahah   We love ‘The Guru’ Goundrey! The third bolt that started the No Crying Pod machine when we were all doing a live Hospo Horror Story comedy show at Perth Fringe Festival and invited Lachy on stage to tell his famous Canadian Baker story.   Also chats about the efficiency of McDonalds training program and an ex-chef that stuffed dockets in his pockets whenever the line got too busy! It’s just insane! This is a fun podcast, so good to have all the original boys back together, on location at RoyAl’s burger in Wembley, Perth. Big shout out to all their venues, Ken runs an excellent operation, was unbelievably hospitable to us and we appreciated the support, food, beers and welcome – get out to their locations if you are in Perth - seriously good food and beers.
