“Last year when the Savannah Bananas played here, a Houston Astros season ticket holder told me – ‘This was the stupidest, craziest thing I ever saw. And I LOVED IT!’” ESPN calls them “The Greatest Show in Sports.” They attracted more than 2.2 million fans at such venues as Yankee Stadium, Wrigley Field, and 81,000 fans at Clemson’s football stadium. Discover how The Savannah Bananas have made baseball FUN by: · Implementing a FANS FIRST commitment · Shortening the game to 2 hours or less · Involving fans (if a fan catches a fly ball, the batter is out) · Not charging sales tax or shipping charges on merchandise · Constantly innovating · Engaging with fans (typical game has 4+ hours of pre-game activities – it’s like a festival!) · More than TEN THOUSAND FANS show up hours early for the pep rally, live music, and team parade This is a “Gotta See” video!
